Hot Day Tape - Mix
Another old meaningless comp. tape here. I can't recall the exact origins of this tape, but it must have been a "Hot Day", heh, and i've lost the track list and cover but by the looks of it and the fact that it has my handwriting (Comp.) and my Ex's (Hot Day Tape) i can speculate and say that this was made in the late 90's when we were still living together. It makes sense too since the A side has a lighter touch. See my ex would start these things with me and then quickly lose interest and i'd be left to my own devices, hence the way heavier side B. I know all the tunes even without the track list. Do you?
edit: ok per the comment i received i had to chop off the 1st song on the the b side of the mix because it was in fact ZZ Top's Just Got Paid & they blocked my mix. fuck it. and fuck you zz top. There is no money being made here... I used to be a fan but now you can suck it....
2nd edit: i give up..... Now devo has the b side blocked..... the 2nd song was peek a boo.... UGH! fuck the music industry....

Wine Wine Wine 3/05 Mix Tape
wow, this thing is all over the place..... just another meaningless mix tape. I've said it before about these things but i can't imagine that anyone reading this has read anything else i've ever posted or could begin to believe that anyone has read anything else i've ever posted so let me say again that originally these things were almost always made just for me for driving in the car to work in the morning or to listen to while at work (at least in the early days my job would allow music to be played) and since these things were made rather hap-hazard and really only for me (a few made their way to some other peoples hands) they can really be a bit "odd".... hey, i like a lot of different music and i would make tapes of some of the stuff i would find out and about and add some stuff i had laying around. i've been feeling a bit self conscious about these things and was even thinking about pulling the plug, thinking who the fuck i am to think that anyone wants to hear this stupid waste of time and all these silly tapes..... well i got a few people saying the like them! and i like them too! so now you have to endure more!
PS: i am drunk and yes i know my writing sucks.... thanks anyway.

On this fine x-mas eve of 2011 i give you one of my all time fave holiday classics. Pre-Monster Magnet, Dog Of Mystery, doing I Saw Mommy Kissing Satan's Claws. This is taken from the uber rare Island of Misfits Toys tape compilation from 1988, put out by Cool Beans Tapes. Cool Beans was run by John McBain who was the original guitar player for MM & DOM. Lead vocals are done by one of my all time fave rock dudes and all around swell guy Big Tim Cronin. Awesome.

8/22/04: Mix Tape
A little while ago i posted a tape cover to one of my mix tapes on a message board i frequent and someone made the suggestion i post it... It wasn't this one but it got me thinking. For years and years before i had the digital turntable to burn my records into the computer i made mix tapes of my records for the car and work. I made them for friends and family as well. And i made them for the occasional girl... So i have hundreds of these silly things. I thought i would download a few put them on disk for the car rides now (yep, i have a CD player in the car now, no more tape player) and i thought why not put a few up on the blog. So you may be seeing a few of these over time now... enjoy them or not. i know i have and will...
