Decentage AG is providing Blockchain Asset Tokenization Services, covering - Investor Onboarding (KYC, AML/Background checks, Profiling, Risk etc.) - Token Life Cycle (smart contracts, token minting, transfer, destruction) - Order Payment (CHF, EUR, TH, BTC) - Corporate Actions - Audit/Reporting etc. My role is CEO of Decentage AG since 2019.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an executive at a healthcare support platform. We help physicians’ offices stay compliant with ancillary services. Our support includes helping them go through their schedule and check compliance against Medicare MCD or medical policies from commercial insurance. Based on that, we also flag patients, keep them compliant, and ensure that the services will be covered for the patients based on their insurance plans.

What challenge were you trying to address with PieSoft?

We needed PieSoft to build a software system from scratch that could connect to physicians’ electronic health record (EHR) systems, pull their patients’ information, and flag it without any real manual intervention.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PieSoft has developed our software system from scratch, using AWS for cloud hosting. Their team is continuously working on it and adding new features because every EHR is different. Every time we connect to a new EHR system, PieSoft helps us develop the integration into our system. Additionally, they provide us with ongoing support and QA.

What is the team composition?

I work with two project managers, two developers, and two QA engineers.

How did you come to work with PieSoft?

We got referred to them by someone in the industry who was also working with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We signed our contract in May 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve received great feedback about our platform, and we try to keep adding new customers daily. Our biggest challenge in adding new customers is connecting to their EHR systems because they’re all HIPAA-compliant, so it takes a while to get past all the bureaucracy and requirements. Other than that, PieSoft has developed an excellent software system for us.

How did PieSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

PieSoft has met our deadlines and stayed on budget. I meet with the project managers on a weekly basis via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We also use Trello and Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Firstly, PieSoft’s knowledge in our industry is outstanding. Not many people know the healthcare industry as well as they do, so they’re very helpful and understanding. Secondly, they work very fast. Other partners had been working on an integration for about a year and couldn’t complete it, whereas PieSoft developed the integration within a month — it was incredible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Anytime we have an issue, PieSoft addresses it.

Know exactly what you want from the start.

I am the CEO of the web agency Newnet based in Waterloo, Belgium. Our activities are mainly focused on web performance and web visibility. (SEO & SEA)

For what projects/services did your company hire PieSoft, and what were your goals?

I've used Piesoft because I had in mind to develop a scalable SaaS software that would allow us to combine SEO and SEA on the same platform. My objective was to cover a growing demand from my clients to maximize their visibility while reducing their advertising campaign costs.

PieSoft’s primary task was to build a powerful all-in-one SEO/SEA solution. The development process included three key steps.

• Continuously improve StratFlag & Flag-IT with new features while ensuring optimal performance.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I didn't know Piesoft at all but I was looking for a reliable partner with a solid background in custom web development. They introduced me to their company during a visit to Belgium. Their approach was pragmatic and customer oriented. So I asked them for a quote based on a fairly complete set of specifications.

They differentiated themselves from others by proposing a multi-phase approach, an ultra-competitive and complete price where each functionality had been estimated. Their experience in large custom development projects was palpable and the support from the start was their major asset.

For StratFlag, our main app, the PieSoft team built an application that allows users to connect their Google accounts to identify your SEO/SEA on a single platform, to generate new keywords ideas, identify the keywords that are to be associated with or excluded from an SEO/SEA strategy, track website visibility, and optimize presence in the search results.

Once keyword strategy is defined, a user can write content using the trending keywords and monitor their content strategy, with main competitors working toward the same goal in a dedicated zone.

For Flag-IT, an extension of StratFlag, in order to create this system, Piesoft has developed an interface to manage templates and give the possibility to have a unique content each time thanks to the insertion of dynamic variables. The whole system works with the help of a reverse proxy that allows to directly generate pages on the client's site.

Technologies used for the project include, Java 11, Kotlin 1.4, Spring, JMS(ActiveMQ), Gradle, JavaScript, ReactJS, Docker, Google SDK, AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, React WEB, and Server Side Event

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The application has been awarded by industry professionals with 2 IAB Mixx Awards in Belgium as best Belgian and international marketing tool in 2021.

Daily meeting with the business analyst who follows up with the dev team.

For all billing issues, an account manager is dedicated. In case of a blocking problem, the management is really listening to allocate additional resources to solve the problem.

(I'm thinking for example of devops in case of server side performance problems)

The project follow-up was done via the Jira tool (Rapid board, tasks and subtasks). We communicate mainly via Skype or Teams.

In 3 years, the indicated deadlines have always been respected. Their estimate is particularly accurate because they take the time to analyze before responding.

If some features were delayed, it was due to my requests for substantial improvements, but each time I was warned that this would have an impact on the timing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

• A technically talented team that delivers its best every time.
• A business analyst who has a real cornerstone role.
• A UX / UI team that is very creative and agile to requests.
• A welcoming management that takes into account all my feedback.

All levels of the project form a very effective task force.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When you start a startup, the promotional side is very important to be visible. Piesoft has answered my different requests but they should give more visibility via packs or bundles of marketing offers.

I talked about it with the management and they have just reinforced their marketing team to take into account this type of request.
