NTA has released the NIFT 2026 answer key on its official website on February 17, 2026. Candidates are allowed to raise their objections against the NIFT provisional answer key through their login till February 19 by paying an objection fee of Rs 200 per challenged question. After considering the valid objections, NTA published the NIFT 2026 final answer key, based on which the result was announced on March 23, 2026.
NTA has declared the NIFT 2026 final result on its official website. It had earlier declared the NIFT entrance exam result on March 20, 2026. Candidates can download the NIFT results through their login. Shortlisted candidates in the entrance exam will be called for the situation test for B.Des admissions. The final result of NIFT 2026 will be declared as per the candidate's performance in the NIFT situation test and the entrance exam.
The NIFT 2026 stage 2 situation test was conducted on April 26, 2026. All the shortlisted candidates can download the NIFT Situation Test 2026 admit card through their login to appear for the exam. Only shortlisted candidates in the NIFT 2026 result for BDes are eligible to appear for the situation test. The authorities will conduct the NIFT 2026 situational test in 20 cities across India.
The NIFT 2026 round 1 seat allotment has been released on June 27, 2026. The choice filling was extended till June 26 upto 12 midnight. Candidates who have been shortlisted in the NIFT final results were required to register online for the counselling process. The NIFT counselling 2026 process will be conducted in three rounds, followed by a spot round. The NIFT seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank and the campus choices filled by them. The authorities will also release the NIFT cut-off for each round.

The authorities have released the NIFT 2026 round 1 cutoff after publishing the seat allotment. The NIFT 2026 cutoff is released for each round of counselling. The NIFT cut-off 2026 is released in the opening and closing ranks of the shortlisted candidates under each category for each programme at each of the 20 NIFT campuses in India.
The exam analysis of NIFT 2026 shows the exam was of an easy to moderate difficulty level. While the analytical and logical reasoning section was relatively easy, the GK, English and maths sections were of easy to moderate difficulty level.
