JEE Main Seat Allotment 2026 - JoSAA has announced the JEE Main 2026 Round 2 seat allotment cutoff on June 30, 2026, on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Candidates can download the seat allotment details using their application number and password. Shortlisted candidates will be required to choose between Float, Freeze, or Slide options during the counselling process. After seat allotment, students must complete formalities such as seat acceptance, fee payment, and reporting. This year, five rounds of JEE Main counselling will be conducted for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs based on JEE Main 2026 scores.

The authority has declared the JEE Main round 2 seat allotment on June 30, 2026 on the official website. Candidates can check the seat allotment of JEE Main through the candidates' portal. Below are the steps to check the JEE Main seat allotment.
Visit the JoSAA official website at josaa.nic.in.
Click on the JEE Main seat allotment link.
Enter the JEE Mains application number and password to proceed further.
Enter the security code provided in the box below and log in.
JEE Main 2026 seat allotment results shall appear on the screen.
Also, check the expected JEE Main cutoff.
After the results of the JEE Main seat allotment are declared round-wise, candidates will have the following options:
Float - If a candidate wishes to keep the allotted seat and also wishes to upgrade their seat, they can choose this option.
Freeze - In case a candidate is satisfied with the JEE Main seat allotment result and does not want to participate in further rounds of JoSAA counselling, he/ she can select the freeze option.
Slide - If a candidate wishes to accept the seat allotted under a particular round but wants to upgrade the B.Tech programme in the same JEE Main 2026 participating institute, they can select the slide option.
Withdraw - If any candidate has already accepted the seat allotted, such candidate may withdraw the seat by reporting at the allotted institute before the final round of JEE Main seat allotment approaches.
After selecting any of the options mentioned above as per their preference, candidates have to pay the fee as reflected in the table below through SBI Net banking or an e-challan.

The authorities has released the JEE Main seat allocation for round 2 online. JEE Main seat allotment 2026 is done based on the choices filled in by students during registration. JEE Main 2026 counselling process includes many steps such as registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting at the institute.
If a candidate, who accepts a seat in IITs by “Online Reporting” in a particular round of seat allocation, is subsequently allocated a seat in the NIT+System for the first time in further rounds of seat allocation (if any) then the documents and the eligibility criteria of such candidates will be verified again by the NIT+ System. In such cases, candidates have to log in to the online JoSAA portal to check if any query(ies) has(ve) been raised. Candidates are required to respond online to the queries raised within the last date and time.
