There are probably bugs in the libgcj date parsing classes.  I've
noticed some fairly recent Mauve regressions in date parsing.  I
haven't had the time to investigate though.  I have noticed in the
past that the date parsing code is very tricky.  It is hard to avoid
introducing regressions :-(
