awt conclusion?

Is anybody working on it?
Is there a schedule?
I believe libgcj/gcj is missing a major feature in the lack of awt support.

The kaffe implementation with using X for the *nix platform seem like
a good decision (in my opinion).
I've seen qt/x/gtk cluttered awt-start implementations and has not been lucky, correct me if I'm wrong.
