Alexandre Petit-Bianco's article on GC for embedded systems

Hello,

I see that Alexandre Petit-Bianco (from Cygnus, now Red Hat) wrote a very 
interesting paper about GC for embedded systems in GCJ 
(http://gcc.gnu.org/java/papers/nosb.html).

Does anybody know what happened to this work ? Is there an alternative GC 
implementation in GCJ ?
