From 06e2757277e746fde9eeca14a86f87b7a61ff5b7 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tom Lane Date: Thu, 9 Apr 2009 17:39:50 +0000 Subject: Remove SQL-compatibility function cardinality(). It is not exactly clear how this ought to behave for multi-dimensional arrays. Per discussion, not having it at all seems better than having it with what might prove to be the wrong behavior. We can always add it later when we have consensus on the correct behavior. --- src/include/utils/array.h | 3 +-- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'src/include/utils/array.h') diff --git a/src/include/utils/array.h b/src/include/utils/array.h index f2c79a62196..b2942d8f8c5 100644 --- a/src/include/utils/array.h +++ b/src/include/utils/array.h @@ -49,7 +49,7 @@ * Portions Copyright (c) 1996-2009, PostgreSQL Global Development Group * Portions Copyright (c) 1994, Regents of the University of California * - * $PostgreSQL: pgsql/src/include/utils/array.h,v 1.75 2009/04/05 22:28:59 tgl Exp $ + * $PostgreSQL: pgsql/src/include/utils/array.h,v 1.76 2009/04/09 17:39:50 tgl Exp $ * *------------------------------------------------------------------------- */ @@ -200,7 +200,6 @@ extern Datum array_dims(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); extern Datum array_lower(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); extern Datum array_upper(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); extern Datum array_length(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); -extern Datum array_cardinality(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); extern Datum array_larger(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); extern Datum array_smaller(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); extern Datum generate_subscripts(PG_FUNCTION_ARGS); -- cgit v1.2.3
