This is the first feature release since Mastodon went open source.

Note:

❗️ This release requires macOS 12.0 Monterey or newer. 1.3.10 is still available for macOS 10.15 Catalina and macOS 11.0 Big Sur.

❗️ If you have a previous version (including 1.3.10), you'll notice that your accounts and preferences don't migrate, due to a clerical error in 1.3.10. (Sorry!) Manually moving stuff over in your ~/Library folder should work, but due to sandboxing, this cannot be automated.

❗️ Auto-updating from 1.3.10 won't work, for the same reason.

Features

Pull-to-refresh: You can pull from the top of a timeline column to refresh it.

Always in Dark Mode: There's a new preference to make Mastonaut always show in 🌚 Dark Mode or 🌞 Light Mode. (By default, it uses whatever you have your system set to.)

Lists: The columns popup now also shows any lists you've created, so you can browse those as well. (However, there is no support yet for managing your lists.)

Fixes

If a timeline was empty, a loading indicator would keep spinning in perpetuity.
