MacOS 15.3 - Opens in Different Window

Hi all - Purchased a new Mac (OS 15.3), downloaded the latest flameshot instance via .dmg. Whenever I try to take a screenshot with flameshot, it always opens in a different desktop. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Many thanks.

Note the UI is a bit different on newer versions of MacOS but the premise is the same.
