The "back" button exits the application in 12.3.1.0

Instead of returning to the previous screen from the chat or settings, the "back" button exits the application.

Same for swiping back as well. Just started happening with the newest update.

Swiping back from the phone's left edge as well as tapping on the back-arrow in the top left corner goes back to the previous screen as expected. But using the swipe actions of the modern bottom bar exits the application as well as tapping the "back" button of the classic bottom bar.

Yeah sorry, I should have phrased that better on my part. Let me better specify that:

Using the system's back action, either via the system back button or the screen-edge left-swiping gesture, cause the app to close rather than go back to the previous screen when viewing a chat or settings.

This is so annoying bug, I can't use the app, app's back button in left top corner, impossible to use by one hand

Can anyone record a demo screencast of your problem? Because I don’t encounter this problem at all and don’t have a single idea what needs to be fixed.
