The linked code publishes SlowTransaction events into the default namespace but this needs to be moved to a non-default namespace.

It sounds like depending on the collector endpoint that an event is sent to, there is some name spacing that happens on the backend that is opaque to us. All events sent to the custom_event_data endpoint (using our public API) will end up with Default set as the name space, which is reserved for customer’s events.

This probably means that we should not create CustomInsightsEvents on our own unless it’s a use case that the backend knows how to handle and name space properly. One goal of the AIM work is to make it so that we can use custom events in this manner but I think that backend changes still need to be made for each event type that we want to support in this scenario.
