costumizing prebuild index

I am using lunr to build a search function on a multilingual static site.

• I need to use a prebuild index which I deserialize on the client.
• I also need to customize the pipeline for foreign languages.

I see how to do either one separately, but do not see how to add plugins to an index created from deserialization. Is it possible at all?
