Hello everyone :)

I spent the last month building and open-sourcing a fully bootable operating system.

Samaris OS boots directly from a USB key into a fullscreen React/Electron desktop environment powered by Rust system daemons and a modular Linux userspace.

Current features:

• Fullscreen React/Electron desktop shell
• Native Rust services
• Local AI support
• OverlayFS persistence
• Wine compatibility
• ARM64 + x86-64 builds
• Universal ISO (boots on both architectures)
• Automated ISO build pipeline
• Downloadable bootable ISOs

And yes — it runs DOOM.
