I can't reproduce it locally, but for the last PR preview on RTD, I can reproduce it:

Interestingly, it doesn't effect the immediately prevous PR preview:

I think there may be an issue with one of our dependencies upgrading in the last week. I'm investigating.

Pinning sphinx<9 works around the issue, but this is not a good long-term fix. PR incoming.

Hmm this works:

And even though the deployment to production was successful, it still doesn't work.
