Prof. Kaustubha Mohanty Takes Charge as Dean ACIR

Prof. Mohanty took charge as the Dean for Alumni, Corporate and Industrial Relations (ACIR) on April 1st, 2026. His academic and research expertise is expected to strengthen institutional partnerships and global engagement.

Prof Mohanty from the Department of Chemical Engineering brings strong academic and interdisciplinary experience. He did his PhD from IIT Kharagpur and has held post-doctoral positions at McMaster University, Canada, and Ben-Gurion University, Israel.

His research expertise includes biofuels, biomass pyrolysis, biological wastewater treatment, heterogeneous catalysis, microalgae biorefinery, membrane based separations, ionic liquid based separations, waste management.

He has published over 250 papers and co-authored 8 books.
