A. Design modeling & engineering drawings: 1. Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models as per design requirements. 2. Apply GD&T accurately to ensure clarity in manufacturing and inspection. 3. Maintain drawing revisions, metadata, and controlled release documentation. B. Process & assembly support: 1. Develop process drawings, exploded assembly layouts, and BOMs. 2. Support jig/fixture conceptualization and assembly feasibility reviews. 3. Incorporate manufacturability and tolerance considerations in design. C. Design validation: 1. Perform preliminary engineering simulations (e.g., stress, deformation). 2. Suggest design improvements based on analytical results. D. Design standards & technical research: 1. Refer to relevant international standards (ISO, DIN, ANSI, etc.). 2. Extract key specifications and compliance requirements for product design. 3. Support technical documentation to meet customer and certification needs. E. Market research & competitor benchmarking: 1. Conduct market scans to identify equivalent components and alternatives. 2. Perform design-based benchmarking against market competitors. 3. Evaluate competitive strengths using analytical tools and usability factors. 4. Support cost and design optimization insights based on benchmarking learnings. F. Cross-functional design support: 1. Work with Production, QA, Supply Chain, and Marketing to resolve design queries. 2. Participate in reviews, improvement activities, and customer submissions. G. Documentation & reporting: 1. Responsibilities include: Understand customer orders and production requirementsReview order details, material, quantity, deadline, and special instructions. Coordinate internally if any clarification is needed before starting production. Prepare files for printingCheck uploaded 3D files for basic printability. Prepare print files using slicing software. Select orientation, supports, layer height, infill, and other print settings as per process requirements. Operate 3D printersRun FDM/SLA/SLS or other 3D printing machines as trained. Load materials, start prints, monitor jobs, and handle basic machine operations. Track print progress and identify failures early. Post-processing and finishingRemove supports, clean parts, cure/wash resin parts where applicable, and do basic finishing. Ensure parts are handled carefully to avoid damage. Quality checkingInspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, breakage, warping, layer issues, or print defects. Compare output with customer/order requirements before dispatch. Evaluate and select lighting and optics to create the imaging front end 3. Work on data collection of the samples provided by the customers 4. Prepare the feasibility report 5. Help to prepare standard operating procedures for machine vision setup, train other team members, and provide support during overall machine setup and maintenance 9. Troubleshoot and analyze the issues that happened on site, and provide failure analysis (FA) reports 10.
