We're looking for highly motivated interns who are passionate about books, storytelling, digital marketing, sales, and community building. This is not a typical social media internship- it's an opportunity to be part of building an author's brand, growing a reader community, and driving measurable book sales. As a full-time intern, you'll work closely with the founder across marketing, partnerships, sales campaigns, reader engagement, influencer collaborations, and community growth initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, experimenting with new ideas, and seeing the direct impact of their work.
A. Book marketing:
1. Plan and execute book promotion campaigns.
2. Assist in book launch and relaunch strategies.
3. Research book marketing trends and competitor campaigns.
4. Create marketing ideas to improve book visibility.
5. Develop monthly content and campaign calendars.
B. Sales & growth:
1. Generate leads and opportunities for book sales.
2. Support referral and affiliate campaigns.
3. Identify bulk sales opportunities with schools, colleges, libraries, and organizations.
4. Assist in executing promotional offers and seasonal campaigns.
5. Track campaign performance and sales metrics.
C. Community building:
1. Build and manage online reader communities.
2. Engage with readers across Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram, and other platforms.
3. Organize reading challenges, giveaways, polls, Q&A sessions, and interactive activities.
4. Encourage user-generated content and reader participation.
5. Foster a positive and engaging community experience.
D. Influencer & partnership outreach:
1. Identify and connect with Bookstagrammers, BookTubers, bloggers, reviewers, and literary influencers.
2. Reach out to colleges, book clubs, libraries, cafés, bookstores, and literary organizations for collaborations.
3. Coordinate influencer campaigns and partnership activities.
4. Maintain outreach trackers and follow-up communications.
E. Content & social media:
1. Create engaging content for social media platforms.
2. Write captions, promotional copy, newsletters, and campaign messaging.
3. Assist with reels, carousel posts, stories, and community engagement content.
4. Support the development of marketing assets using Canva and AI tools.
F. Research & reporting:
1. Conduct competitor and market research.
2. Track campaign performance and community growth.
3. Maintain sales, outreach, and engagement reports.
4. Share insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
