The Project Teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and assessing interdisciplinary projects across grades in alignment with the ICSE curriculum and NEP 2020 principles. The role involves integrating concepts from English, EVS, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics through four structured projects during the academic year. The teacher will facilitate inquiry-based, experiential, and collaborative learning experiences that develop students' academic competencies and 21st-century skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and DesignDesign and coordinate four interdisciplinary projects annually for assigned grades.Integrate learning outcomes from English, EVS/Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics.Develop project briefs, timelines, rubrics, worksheets, and assessment tools.Ensure projects are age-appropriate, engaging, and connected to real-life contexts.Incorporate research, observation, fieldwork, surveys, interviews, and presentations where applicable.Teaching and FacilitationGuide students through the project cycle from inquiry and planning to execution and presentation.Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.Support students in research, data collection, analysis, report writing, and presentation.Conduct project-related workshops and classroom sessions.Assessment and DocumentationAssess project work using competency-based rubrics.Maintain student portfolios, evidence of learning, and assessment records.Provide timely feedback to students and parents.Prepare project reports and documentation required by the school.CollaborationWork closely with English, EVS, Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies teachers to map curriculum outcomes.Coordinate project exhibitions, showcases, and presentations.Participate in curriculum planning meetings and professional development programmes.Collaborate with parents and external resource persons when required.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Humanities, Science, Social Sciences, or related discipline.B.Ed. mandatory.Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an ICSE, CBSE, or progressive school.Experience in Project-Based Learning (PBL), experiential learning, or interdisciplinary teaching preferred.Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of NEP 2020 and competency-based education.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Ability to integrate multiple subjects into meaningful learning experiences.Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and educational technology tools.Creativity, innovation, and student-centric approach.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Successful completion of four projects per academic year.Quality of student portfolios and project outcomes.Student engagement and participation levels.Effective integration of curriculum objectives across subjects.Timely completion of assessments and documentation.
