It is time to crown a winner. On Friday, February 27th, we will gather at Three Magnets at 6pm to witness the final 3 series of the Funk Cup tournament.

First, the Funky Four will play in their semifinals. After a break, the 2 finalists will play live on stage in the pub with commentary for viewers. Funk himself may be on hand, and a trophy will be presented to the winner. It will be a spectacle to behold!

We are also considering this night to be our Season 4 Celebration. Come downtown any time between 6-9pm and say hello to your league foes! Or, if you are new, come hang and see what we are all about.

- All skill levels welcome. The format will guide you to players near your level.
- Must be in-person at Three Magnets Brewing by 6:00pm on Thursdays.
- Late arrivals will not be allowed entry, sorry. We have good reasons for this.
- Games are 5 minute timers with 2 second increments.
- 60 minutes max of overall gameplay. 5 games overall.
- All games played on real boards with clocks.
- $2 to play per Thursday.
- If you are new to chess, arrive early and we will give you a tutorial.
- Minors are allowed inside Three Magnets and can play. It is preferred that the minor is old enough to have a phone for score reporting or a parent that can do so after each game.

RULES

- Points counted for main 5 rounds only.
- No repeat winners in 2026.
- 1 bonus point is given per Thursday you attend.
- The on-call virtual player is not eligible for Monthly Champion.
- The winner must be present at the end of the final Hi-Five of the month. If they are not, the player with the most points who is present becomes the Monthly Champion.
- If 2 players are tied after the last session of the month, they will play 1 showdown match to break the tie.
- If more than 2 players are tied, a random drawing will occur to determine the showdown match.
