spoilers just like fit the length of their content, so if you make the line of the table the longest, and if it's centered on that line, it'll always stay centered. it's a bit of a hack since tables just get aligned left always. with two images of the same length on each side, the table will always be centered in that context, because the images are essentially just padding out the same amount on each side. and if they're long enough, it's the longest line in the whole spoiler, so that the whole spoiler won't change in width when you open a new one.
it's a bit of a mouthful to explain over text but it's really simple conceptually, you'll get it dw
tables are really wonky in general tho. if you go down low enough in my profile you can see that i played around some with it. i personally love smellvin forcing the profile to get a sideways scrollbar
bro i'm actually crying i had to check again how to properly fix this, and my way to do this without an image was so dumb. but like. smart dumb. the easy way is to just put two transparent images of the same length left and right of the table so that the total is longer than your image below, and it should stay centered.
i have the images here not transparent just to illustrate. they do need to be a minimum of 2px high for some reason
:(
:))
the simple fix, just put two same length images on either side of the table. this will put the table center and force the length of the spoiler section so the second expansion doesn't change it
ironically this breaks it bc the images aren't long enough
this doesn't put images next to the table, and instead misuses the list tag in order to force padding. you do need to have a longer image to force the initial width of the spoiler tho. and you'll need some more finetuning to get it right... BUT it doesn't ruin the illusion when selecting the whole page!!!
