Calling Frieren “boring” because it isn’t paced like an action show isn’t a critique — it’s just admitting the story isn’t built for your viewing style. The series is intentionally reflective, and dismissing it as “nothing happens” ignores the emotional and thematic progression that is happening.
Flattening the characters into clichés doesn’t prove they’re shallow; it proves you didn’t engage with their arcs. Frieren’s story is about memory and time, Fern’s about stability and growth, and Stark’s about fear and courage. Reducing them to stereotypes is just misreading the text.
Your world‑building complaint also misses the point. Frieren isn’t about technological revolution like Arcane — it’s about how history fades, how legends distort, and how an immortal experiences a world that changes slowly. Comparing the two is like criticizing a poem for not being a political thriller.
In the end, your argument isn’t that Frieren is bad — it’s that it isn’t the kind of show you personally wanted. That’s fine, but presenting preference as objective analysis just makes the whole rant look like manufactured outrage rather than genuine criticism.
Unsurprising that an apostrophe was the only thing that you could correct me on. 😉 Also, correcting someone for incorrect punctuation and forgetting to punctuate your own message is quite the play.
madoka magica is for lolicons who pretend like it’s ending is deeper than it actually is to mask their complex, stick to your corny wannabe deep fetish anime, low-wit.
My comment had nothing to do with the amount of years you have been watching anime. It was in regards to the actual number of anime you have seen. I actually also happen to be several years older than you. Which happens to have a sense of irony to it as you are barely even an adult based on the age you gave in your comment. Well... at least you were able to give me a good laugh today so for that I will thank you XD
But regardless since you aren't willing to talk with me civilly you will no longer be able to talk to me at all. A shame, as if you had actually looked at my list you would have seen we actually do share quite a bit of anime we both enjoy (which we could have talked about instead of focusing on our differences). Sayonara.
