direnv is currently broken on Darwin (because of fish, because of python-env). The fix is already in staging, so I guess it will be (easily) available in two to four weeks ;_;

Looks like this simple #lix overlay, which is a simplified version of what is documented (https://lix.systems/add-to-config/#advanced-change), is enough to trigger an infinite recursion (on nixpkgs-unstable).
