Marc Ferro (Paris, 24 décembre 1924 – Maisons-Laffitte, 21 avril 2021) était un enseignant-chercheur et historien français. Ses recherches portaient sur l'histoire européenne du début du XXe siècle, notamment celle de l'URSS, ainsi que sur l'histoire du cinéma. Il a été directeur des études en sciences sociales à l'École des hautes études en sciences sociales. Il a co-directeur de la revue Annales. Il a également réalisé et présenté des documentaires télévisés sur la montée du nazisme, la dynastie des Romanov, Lénine et la Révolution russe, ainsi que sur la représentation de l'histoire au cinéma.
Marc Ferro (Paris, December 24, 1924 – Maisons-Laffitte, April 21, 2021) was a French historian and researcher. His research focused on early 20th-century European history, especially the history of the USSR, as well as the history of cinema. He was Director of Studies in Social Sciences at the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences. He was co-director of the journal Annales. He has also directed and presented television documentaries on the rise of Nazism, the Romanov dynasty, Lenin, and the Russian Revolution, as well as the representation of history in cinema.
