Charles Lane (born 1961) is an American journalist and editor who is the deputy editor at The Free Press and a regular guest on the Fox News Channel. He was the editor of The New Republic from 1997 to 1999 and the deputy opinion editor for The Washington Post from 2000 to 2024.
