This program makes it easy: Take a bunch of photos put them in directories, where main directory is yyyy and subdirectorys mm/dd rename photos to i yymmdd_hhmmss Command line example: >photexo.py copy magic indir outdir copy: copy files. magic: use exif to detec camera model. indir: a directory with digital photos. outdir: the directory where we want our structured result. The program has some flexibility: depending on the camera it can use the file name or the exif date time. There are other command variations, please see the readme. -

SlideSorter manages "slides", which can be images or videos of any type, size, and length. It allows: - sorting your slides like on a professional light-table, plus zooming in and out, - saving them in the sorted order, - presenting them as slide show in automatic or manual mode at any time. SlideSorter is most efficiently used with a '3-Button + Wheel' mouse, which supports all major handling, like sorting, viewing, zooming, comparing, playing, slideshowing. - Left-click and hold a slide to move it - Middle-click a slide to remove it - Right-click a slide for full-screen showing (image) or playing (video) - and more intuitive handling in combination with CTRL and Shift keys. This app maintains a slideshow image folder, using Windows Spotlight images that meet the customizable selection criteria. The app adds or deletes slideshow images based on additions to or deletions from the Windows Spotlight folder by Windows Spotlight. The slideshow folder can be specified in Windows Settings background personalization as the input to a desktop/background slideshow. Of course, the slideshow folder may also be browsed with any image viewer that can read .jpg files. The Slideshow Update app is most useful if it is setup as a Windows startup app but it can also be run manually anytime a refresh is desired. Some of the selection criteria are based on exif-type data imbedded in Spotlight images. The Python Pillow addon is used to extract exif-type data. Tkinter is only used to display an error dialog, if errors occur. If there are no errors, the app runs "silently". Requires a Python 3.x environment. -
