Dear Mr. Pound,
I have recieved your software as part of a collaboration with the lab of dr. Murchie in Notthingham.
During this collaboration I was shown how the software can be used to perform a canopy reconstruction using 2D images as an input.
I have been using the software on my old PC with windows 7 without much trouble, except that it was very slow.
To improve this I was advised by our collaborator to get a more powerfull pc with more memory, as this will most likely solve the issue.
I have now a pc with 32Gb of RAM and a more powerfull GPU, but also with windows 10 (there is no way to have anything else in my company). Since I use this pc, I get an error when I run the reconstructor program. (screenshot of the error is attached to this ticket) When I run the same script on my old pc, the program runs without a problem, except that it takes a lot of time.
Would you know what could be going on with the software? Am I missing an import part of software to make it work? Or could it be problem created by the new version of windows?
kind regards,
Karel Jansseune
Hi, this issue is likely because there's been an issue earlier in processing with the points, or the segmentation. The best way to fix things like this is to output the filtered and then segmented points, and make sure it all looks ok. I can provide more advice, but might be easier to converse via email.
