The last bit of info I had on cups drivers for the eoson stylus color 480 was that it had been dropped from the CUPS project because Epson would not release the source code for the cartridge exchange. Is anyone working on a driver for this printer? As one of the most popular cheap printers available now, I'm sure that I'm not the only person who has one and can't use it in Linux. Tarball, rpm, debian, I don't care, if I can get a driver. Unfortunately I doubt that I have the coding skills to write my own, but if the source code is available, without the cartridge ejection code, could someone point me to it, please?
