Hi, "By the press of a button" what kind of buttons do you exactly mean? Hello everyone! As far as I know, there is no linked list implementation in the C standard library. If someone knows of a good implementation of a linked list (sorted or unsorted), please let me know. (C only) Although I have made an implementation of it, I don't know what kind of interface would be good. I have made the following: This is the header for my "list.h": typedef int (*compproc)(void*,void*); typedef struct _node{ void* value; struct _node *prev; struct _node *next; }*pnode; typedef struct _list{ int length; pnode first; pnode last; compproc cmp; /* if NULL, the list is unsorted */ }*plist; /* list management */ plist list_create(compproc cmp); void list_destroy(plist pl); pnode list_add(plist pl, void* value); int list_remove(plist pl, pnode pn); int list_length(plist pl); /* list utility functions */ pnode list_search(plist pl, void* value); If one wants to iterate through the list, a simple for will make it: for(pnode=plist->first;pnode!=NULL;pnode=pnode->next){ ... } The list is a doubly linked non-circular list (for fast operations). The list is sorted with the cmp function, specified at the creation of the list. (the same as the cmp in the qsort() in C) At each list_add() the element will be automatically inserted sortedly. If NULL is given, the list will be unsorted. My question is, is this interface is a good one, or should I make changes. The reason why I want to know this, is because I am making a library, which will contain this list, and I want to know whether it is useable well? I will release this list implementation separately (for even you), if you think it is good enough. ALL suggestions are welcome. Thank you. -- Regards Balázs |

You must not set WS_HSCROLL. And set WS_VSCROLL if you will need more space. See command prompt> program --help. gcc is the compiler for C, if you call it over a C++ code it will call g++. mingw32- are the same that the ones without mingw32-, made so you can have mingw and cygwin, and so you can differentiate both. > > dev-cpp\lib\gcc-lib\libmingw32\3.2: cc1.exe, cc1obj.exe, cc1plus.exe, > cpp0.exe These seems that make something about controlling command options and passing communication between compiler and linker... depending on the kind of source you use. > > > what the hell are all these programs doing? and why are all these > necessary ? > why there is not one c-compiler, one cpp-compiler and one preprocessor > in the bin-directory ? > > greetings > andreas > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek > Welcome to geek heaven. > http://thinkgeek.com/sf > _______________________________________________ > Dev-cpp-users mailing list > Dev...@li... > TO UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.noicys.cjb.net/devcpp/ub.htm > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dev-cpp-users > |

Hi, I think I just solved it. I read some about makefiles and saw that by including a makefile that contained override OBJ=3Dobjects/* it should work and it did, phew...Hopefully I can start working now, thanks for the hints Abhijit and Per (du kanske =E4r svensk Per, is s=E5 fall s=E5 kanske tack =E4r p=E5 sin plats). /Thom |

Two possibilities: create.open("C:\\Service Hub\\Names.dat", ios::out); : \\ wil be interpreted as a single \ or (prefered) create.open("C:/Service Hub/Names.dat", ios::out); : Use forward slash. Although windows is using the backslash as directory separator, in all C and C++ functions you can also use the forward slash. In this way you can also write compatible code with normal operating systems. -----Original Message----- From: Dondolo Mpho [mailto:MDo...@OL...] Sent: Friday, January 03, 2003 09:25 AM To: 'dev...@li...' Hi, as you may have notices I have had trouble with the linking step, probably due to too many objects that results in a too long command line in windows. I actually checked this by modifying the makefile manually and compiled the project in a MS-DOS window and it worked. I did the same thing without modifying the makefile generated by DEV-C++ and I got the same errors so I have pretty much located the problem. What I want to do is to force DEV-C++ to build the makefile with the line OBJ = objects/* instead of (as it does by default) OBJ = objects/obj1.o objects/obj2.o objects/obj3.o ...etc Is there a way to do this within the GUI of DEV-C++ or am I stuck with linking in the MS-DOS prompt? I would assume that there are others who have had similar problems. If you have other suggestions on how to solve the problem (without modifying the .cpp or .h files), please let me know, it would make a world of difference to me... /Thom |
