Greetings,
I have been a user of the Dev-C++ version 4.0 and recently decided to try out the new Dev-C++ version 5.0 (I also use M$-VC++). After removing the 4.0 version and installing the new 5.0 version, I came across this very strange message when I tried to load an old source code file:
"Cannot find the file 'C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\hello.c' (or one of it's components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."
So, I made a new 'hello.c' file from within Dev-C++, compiled and ran it. No problem. However, when I tried to load it again (By double-clicking - I have all associations set to Dev-C++), I get the same message.
And the same thing happens when I try to load a source file with M$-VC++.
I liked the old 4.0 version, so I uninstalled the 5.0 and re-installed the 4.0. The problem still exists.
By the way, I'm using Win98.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
