Thread: [Dev-C++] Completely not working :-(

Installing Dev-cpp 4.9.... on Win Me leaves me (newbie) with an IDE that dosen't compile, but instead leaves make.exe running, which usually sucks up my resources until my computer crashes.

Running a perfectly compilable project on Dev-c++ 4.0, it simply sits there, pumps out a few lines in the output, and does nothing. Clicking on "run" tells me the program is currently compiling, clicking abort compilation does nothing. 

Is it just me? but I have tried this 3 months ago, with the same effect (by the way, I fully installed MingW alongside Dev-cpp :-), And I have tried only dos-compatible folders (no spaces, <8 chars), but no cigar)

Have you set the executable names on the Tools->compiler
options->programs?

Its perhaps an install problem.
Latest version with updates (via vUpdater) works like a charm with out of 
the box settings

When you update with vUpdate you don't need manage those box setttings be=
cause
it uses the config file the previous version was using, you did it yet be=
fore.
