Thread: [Dev-C++] Dev-C++ 4.9.9.1

Dear Sir

I have been using an earlier version of Dev-C++and had no problems, once =
I figured out what to do. However since I upgraded to=20
4.9.9.1 I can't get started, all I get is a message saying   "unable to =
run program file"  I went through help file and FAQ but no luck.
Compile log tells me  "compiler: default compiler" and the path where =
the files are saved. I am a novice at all this, and would appreciate =
your help. any information at all.
I use WinXP which has been updated.

We are pleased to announce the release of Dev-C++ 4.9.9.1 !

This version also includes GCC 3.3.1 like in 4.9.9.0, but with latest Min=
gw=20
headers and libraries. You can also download an installation package with=
out=20
the Mingw distribution though.

This release contains many bug fixes, and improvements in the source code=
=20
editor.

The devpak is a tar.bz2 file.

It's just a tar.bz2 archive. Any decompression utility should be able to 
open it, like 7-zip (www.7-zip.org).
