key length not visible any more
OpenPGP addon for Mozilla Thunderbird

In the actual Enigmail the key-length is not shown any more. Why?
I am asking for curiosity, because i can see in different tools more and more discussion about the key length - specially that 4096 Bit RSA is much to long.
But in reality the key length is absolut no problem with modern CPU power.
So why make it less secure?
Now i can't see the key length any more in Enigmail and i must use an external tool or a shell to see it.
Besides - in gpg the options have changed and it is more complicated to generate a key with 4096 bit.
The only explanation for it is not pleasant for me ...
How do you mean the key size is no longer visible? About which dialog or window do you talk?
Menu Enigmail -> Schlüssel verwalten (i don't know what it is named in english).
When you call over the context-menu the key properties you don't get any information about the key anymore (type, key length).
If you click on the "Structure" tab you'll see the details including the key size.
Ah - then we come closer to the problem, because i have no tabs.
Then the reason is an incompatibility of Thunderbird 60.4.0 with the libraries of Debian 8.
There is already an open bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=916443
I will check this in Debian 9 - but i think it will work there.
