#1080 I have issues on Xiaomi Redmi 12 with MIUI Global 14.0.6 and Android 13.

Back camera takes photos that look filtered, like I have used beautify, or HDR, even though I don't have anything extra activated. Also, the app doesn't recognize the macro cam. Xiaomi Redmi 12 with MIUI Global 14.0.6 and Android 13.

    the "filtering" is actually excessive noise reduction applied by the camera driver. on my redmi 11t pro, one can disable that in OC's image processing options. interestingly enough, there appears no way to disable it in the stock camera app, presumably because xiaomi wants to paper over just how noisy the cameras are.

    for the macro camera thing, see ticket #1058 (and many others).

    i recommend closing this ticket.

      Thanks for the info - indeed, this often seems to be the case, but often hard to be sure if I don't have that particular make of device, so thanks for the confirmation.
