The purpose of this plugin is to use a chip card (memory card or smart card with file system) to lock and unlock KeePass (https://sourceforge.net/projects/keepass/) databases - interchangeable with a key file associated with the card.

NOTE: The plugin will be for KEEPASS VERSION 1.XX.

Features

  • Use chip card to lock/unlock database without entering a password.
  • Optionally protect database with an additional PIN (numeric password).
  • When chip card is registered with the plugin, an associated key file is generated.
  • If card or card reader is not available, use this key file to unlock database.
