About Flex
Flex is a financial technology platform that lets renters pay their monthly rent on a flexible schedule by splitting the total amount into two smaller, more manageable payments while still ensuring the landlord or property manager receives the full rent on time. When a rent charge is posted, users make a first payment and Flex provides access to a credit line to cover the remainder, which it pays directly to the property or via a provided account; later in the month the renter repays the credit line according to their chosen schedule. The Flex app lets users monitor payment status in real time, manage and reschedule payments, and receive push notifications to stay on track. Flexible rent reporting can also help build a positive credit history by reporting on-time payments to credit bureaus. Flex integrates with major property management systems such as AppFolio, RentCafe, Yardi Voyager, and others to embed flexible payment options directly into resident portals.
