PlanetPress Connect

Pros: The Precision control over the layout of our forms and documents.
No longer being limited to Word's Paragraph Formatting or having to work with External Print Agencies is very nice.

Cons: - $500/month is the subscription model, a perpetual license will cost you upward of $13,000.00 Even with the Perpetual Model, Support is only given if you pay the yearly Support Fee. Stop paying that and all the live support goes bye bye.
- The software imparts a long printing lag(10-15 seconds) before spitting out any document. So in processes where people are waiting for the print to come out before they can continue their job it become quite cumbersome. Especially cumbersome when doing large volumes of documents.
- It's Complicated! My background is Graphic Design, Computer Programming and Computer Engineering and I HAVE A HARD TIME FIGURING THIS THING OUT. If you don't pay extra for their live training you will get very little use out of this software.
The entire program is based on HTML/CSS for the design but it is in many cases implemented in strange ways that seem to render your previous web programming knowledge obsolete.

Overall: Overall I like that after Months of working with the software we are able to now generate our own forms.
It would be very nice if support was given for free considering the cost of the product and it would be even nicer if proper training and guidance was included with the product.
A couple Examples of companies doing this right that i can think of are:
- GoToConnect VOIP Phone Provider
- NinjaRMM Remote management and monitoring tools.

Both of those are paid monthly but come with unlimited training and onboarding to get you up to speed and using the system. And both of those services cost FAR LESS than PlanetPress Connect.
