Wiki software

Sourceware runs a copy of moinmoin in order to serve /PROJECT/wiki type URLs. The software comes from Fedora EPEL RPMs, and is unmodified.

It is configured under /wiki/, one .py file per wiki, plus /wiki/farmconfig.py for systemwide settings. It's under local git repo control.

It is a pain in the butt in that spammers have created masses of accounts for themselves, and deposited thousands of junk files in several of the wikis (gdb, gcc were the worst affected). So we instituted editor-level ACLs on most of the content, so they couldn't create more spam. Unfortunately, mechanical removal of this historical mass of spam has not been attempted, so we have lots of handbags, erectile dysfunction medicine, and lucrative inheritence somewhere on the site.

However, they can still create junk accounts. So a cron job /etc/cron.weekly/moin-user-cleanup nukes junk wiki accounts that are not also in the respective EditorGroup.
