What you need
- A personal Google Account. For now, this feature isn’t available to users with a work or school Google Account.
- For now, this feature isn’t available to users under 18.
- For now, this feature isn’t available in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.
- To ask Gemini to use your Search history, you must have your Google Web & App Activity on.
How to have Gemini use your Search history
- Go to gemini.google.com.
- At the top, click Gemini or Gemini Advanced
Personalization (experimental).
- If it’s your first time using Gemini with personalization, click Connect now to connect your Search history with Gemini. You’re in control of your info and can easily disconnect your Search history from Gemini.
- In the text box at the bottom, enter a question or prompt.
- Click Submit

How Gemini Apps handles your Search history data
When you agree to connect Gemini Apps with your Search history, Gemini may use your Search history to give you more helpful responses, consistent with the Gemini Apps Privacy Notice.

Important: If you disconnect your Search history from Gemini Apps, your Search history and Gemini Apps chats are not deleted. Learn how to delete your Gemini Apps activity.
