We were glad to take part in NANOTR-20 - the 20th Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Conference, bringing together researchers and industry working across nanotechnology, advanced materials, sensors, and emerging device technologies. During the conference, we had the opportunity to present our work on microdispensing-based fabrication of flexible heaters using silver and carbon conductive inks, demonstrate Monobee, and have valuable discussions around printed electronics and functional materials. We’re excited to share that Beespenser will be joining BIOSENSOR 2026, 7th International Congress on Biosensors Ordu, Türkiye. At the congress, we’ll be presenting how Monobee, our direct ink writing and micro-dispensing platform, can support faster in-house prototyping of biosensors, printed electrodes, flexible devices, and other functional electronic structures across rigid and flexible substrates. Monobee has a new home at Okan Üniversitesi. With the installation now completed, Monobee will contribute to the university’s research activities in areas such as printed electronics, flexible electronics and functional materials, providing a hands-on platform for rapid prototyping and material deposition studies. We would like to thank Ömer Cihan Kıvanç for his support throughout the installation process, as well as for the productive technical discussions and collaboration on site. Dünyanın en iyi 3 kuluçka merkezinden biri olan Bilgiyi Ticarileştirme Merkezi'nin (BTM) yılın ilk Sahne XL etkinliği “Türkiye’ye Değer” temasıyla gerçekleştirildi. Teknolojiden fintech’e, eğitimden yapay zekaya uzanan alanlarda faaliyet gösteren 12 girişim sahneye çıkarak projelerini yatırımcılar, iş dünyası temsilcileri ve girişimcilik ekosistemiyle paylaştı. İstanbul Ticaret Odası (İTO) tarafından 10 yıl önce kurulan Bilgiyi Ticarileştirme Merkezi (BTM), girişimcilik ekosisteminin en önemli buluşmalarından biri haline gelen Sahne XL etkinliğini Fulya’daki yerleşkesinde gerçekleştirdi. 10’uncu yılın ilk Sahne XL’ı olan etkinlik “Türkiye’ye Değer” temasıyla düzenlendi. Etkinlik kapsamında 12 girişim sahnede projelerini anlatırken, 35’ten fazla girişim de stant alanlarında ziyaretçilerle bir araya geldi. I am truly honored to have been part of the Management Team of the ESSC Conference (International Conference on Energy Storage and Sustainable Circularity) at SUNUM-Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center on 1st and 2nd July 2026. It was a privilege to contribute to an event that brought together outstanding researchers, industry leaders, and innovators to discuss the future of energy storage and sustainable technologies. During my talk, I shared my perspective on research commercialization and reflected on how it compares with traditional research funding mechanisms. While competitive grants and subsidies remain essential for advancing science, I believe universities have an incredible opportunity to complement these efforts. Imagine if institutions dedicated just 25% of the time and resources currently invested in preparing grant proposals to identifying promising ideas from students and researchers, nurturing them, and transforming them into market-ready products. Such an approach could not only generate greater long-term revenue for universities and researchers but also create tangible societal and economic impact beyond the relatively low success rates of many grant competitions. One of the highlights of this year's conference was the strong support from industry. Having leading companies such as ZEISS Group, ROTALAB Scientific Instruments Co.
