Welcome!
We are one of the longest-running and largest skate networks for women, non-binary and non-traditional skaters in Australia with over 4000+ followers on Instagram and strong participation rates at our popular Annual We Skate QLD Jam (now in its 10th edition) plus other gatherings and events. We Skate QLD also connect skaters to weekly meet ups and lead and collaborate on a range of special pop up events, film prems, art workshops, exhibitions and more. Activations include for Lota Skatepark Opening, Pizzey Skatepark Opening, and World Science Festival, Brisbane at a We Skate QLD marquee for arts and skate design workshops. Find out more on our about us page and team page. You can also explore our social impact and community work for non-traditional skaters in an article about us in Monster Children, a feature article in ABC Sport/Siren Sport, and the documentary Concrete Denizens that has key members of our team. We are queer-led and with volunteers from all backgrounds and genders. Our work on boosting pride and diversity (2022) is also featured here.

We are also proud that members of our co-founding team were part of a group of skateboarders involved with 2019 launch of the global campaign Consent is Rad, now under the umbrella of Respect is Rad. We continue to support their initiatives.

Take Up Space – You Belong:
We Skate QLD has a zero tolerance policy to discrimination against people who are marginalised. We stand for inclusion and to keep skateboarding progressing forward.
