Samer is a walking testimony.
Those who know his story know he has survived what most do not. This is his eighth chance at life—and this time, he has chosen to go all in. Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Musicians Institute and a Holistic Healing Coach Certificate from Sankofa Institute, He has decided to blend his healing journey with art. From teaching children music to working in psychiatric units and detox settings, music and entertainment were what carried him through. Now, he offers them back to the world as he steps into his power. As part of KJLH Radio Free Voices, he has been a contributor to the Gospel Album Release "Don't Take Your Spirit" in 2025, and also served as the opening act in 2024 for Stevie Wonder's "House Full of Toys."
He has always dared to dream, yet fear once convinced him to dim his own light. That is why he named himself Siraj Al-Ruh—the Lantern of the Spirit. A bearer of light in this world, he moves as a magnet for greatness, while tragedy may attempt to enter but never succeed. His music is a divine gift—one he is finally willing to offer fully, without fear of ridicule or misunderstanding. What once remained hidden now insists on being heard. His EP Is the Light On? is now available on all streaming platforms!
Through his mystic online presence, El Mukhtar, his voice has gained resonance on TikTok and YouTube. But this work is bigger than him. It is the ancestral well of knowledge that lives within his blood, rising to the surface.
