About the authors

I am a wife, mother, teacher and author (in that order!). I have been teaching for 15 years and my heart is with kids in 5th grade. I love the art and science of teaching and also work as an adjunct faculty for ASU. I've always loved kids and have three of my own: Londyn, Davaya and Jackson with my husband, David. I author educational literacy materials for teachers of elementary and middle school. Learning how to read is a passport to anything!
