Tagging not available
Hi there, I would like to tag files/folders but it isn't giving me the option?
I have followed the instructions here https://help.dropbox.com/organize/dropbox-tags but I don't see '#add a tag' on the right-hand panel as it describes?
I am using the dropbox.com website and a free account but I thought you could tag for free accounts?
Looking into getting a business account if it's only on there!
Thanks

Have you expanded the right panel?

Thank you! I wasn't interpreting that as the 'right column' so had missed this.
Much appreciated 🙂

Is there a way to tag photos from within the Photo view?
My photos are in multiple different folders so the Photo view could be useful. However, I seem only to be able to Star photos not tag from that view. Tagging is much more flexible in creating different views and allowing a single photo to be added to different albums. Is there plans to add that functionality? Is there some other way to organize photos from the Photo view?

Hi JanetE1, how are you today?
At the moment, you wouldn't be able to tag content using the Photos tab. Your feedback regarding this has been very valuable and I will endeavor to make sure your voice is heard.
When it comes to organizing your files using the Photos tab, you should have the option to choose to sort them based on years/months/days/videos and starred.
Keep me posted if you need anything else!

Hello! I can't expand the right panel, the arrow is missing. Did something change? (I'm on the Plus plan.)
Thank you for your help!

Hi Nadinchen, let's jump right into this!
Can you instead try selecting your folder/file, then click on the ellipsis (...) and then click either folder info, or file info?
That should give you the option to add tags to your content. Can you give it a go?
Let me know of any updates!

That works, thank you! (I would never have searched for tags there...)

It would be massive if you could see tags in the Photo view as well as add. The file info from the File View is provided in the Photo view, just not the tags. It would help to make sure photos are not missing tags.
