The New Ramsay Head Press Presents … Breathing New Life

Alice Keeling and Mark Howitt are breathing new life into The Ramsay Head Press, the Edinburgh publishing house founded in 1970 by Norman Wilson responsible for producing volumes by leading poets such as Tessa Ransford, Alice Stuart and Charles Graves.

Mark used to be an accountant but, after 38 years, decided it wasn’t for him and started writing & performing what he describes as kitchen sink poetry. He’ll be reading from his recently published A Change of Direction.

Alice is a writer and artist and has been writing weird, warm, wobbly poems for five years now. She will be previewing The Warm Universe, a collection of her poems and drawings due out in October.

Breathing New Life is both a poetry event and a celebration of an Edinburgh publishing institution now reborn.
