LBRCE(JNTUK) Campus Experience for B.Tech(CSE)

Last Updated : 23 Aug, 2024

I completed my graduation from LBRCE, Mylavaram, which was affiliated with JNTU Kakinada. I pursued a B.Tech (2020-2024) in Computer Science and Engineering. The entire journey was a rollercoaster of ups and downs, joy and sadness, and many other experiences that ultimately contributed to my personal development.

First Year

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our batch's date of joining was postponed to January 2021 instead of August 2020. The regulation changed to R20 starting with our batch. The course curriculum we received was systematic and very clear. The first semester was conducted in offline mode, where we were taught C language, basic IT knowledge, and some non-core subjects that were prerequisites for a few advanced subjects.

In the second semester, everything shifted to online mode due to the lockdown. Even though it was online, major subjects like Python programming, Data Structures, and a few others were taught in a way that closely resembled real-time learning. The faculty was excellent, and we didn't hesitate to learn through the online platform.

Second and Third Year

As we were delayed by a few months, the course schedule became more intense up until the second year. We gradually adjusted to the online teaching platform. During these years, we were introduced to Web Technologies, the latest trends, and some core foundational subjects related to CSE. These two years were truly a game-changing period in my entire graduation journey. I began working on projects, internships, fests, hackathons, training programs, and much more.

Final Year

The year finally arrived that would determine the initial path of our life's destiny. As placement season arrived, anxiety swept through the final-year students. Our teachers and mentors were proactive, guiding us through placement preparations and encouraging us to enroll in various training programs. The last semester was largely dedicated to getting ready for placements, with students being excused from classes to focus on training and internships. I felt a great sense of joy when I completed my college journey on a positive note.
