How to Download GATE 2026 Admit Card
Follow these simple steps to download your admit card:
Step 1: Visit the official GATE 2026 website: https://gate2026.iitg.ac.in/
Step 2: Click on the GOAPS Portal login link (direct access: https://goaps.iitg.ac.in/login).
Step 3: Enter your Enrollment ID and Password.
Step 4: Log in and click on the Download Admit Card option.
Step 5: Verify all details on the admit card (name, photograph, signature, exam date, time, paper code, test centre address, etc.).
Step 6: Download and take multiple printouts of the admit card (preferably in colour).
Important Note: Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.) to the exam centre. Entry will not be allowed without these documents.

GATE 2026 Exam Schedule
The GATE 2026 examination will be conducted over four days in two shifts each day (Computer-Based Test mode). Each paper is of 3 hours duration (4 hours for candidates availing compensatory time).

Note: CS-1 and CS-2 refer to different sessions of Computer Science; CE-1 and CE-2 for Civil Engineering. Candidates appearing for two papers should check their allowed combinations on the official website.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Reporting Time — Arrive at the exam centre at least 1 hour before the session start time.
- What to Carry — Printed admit card + valid original photo ID. No other items (mobile phones, calculators, notes, etc.) are allowed inside the exam hall.
- Exam Pattern — 65 questions for 100 marks (General Aptitude + Subject-specific). Includes MCQs, MSQs, and NAT questions.
- Mock Tests — Practice with the official mock tests available on the website to get familiar with the interface.
- Validity — GATE 2026 scores will be valid for three years from the result date (March 19, 2026).
