Last Updated : 29 Jan, 2025

Candidate Information

  • Status: B.Tech student of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering 2025 Pass out Batch
  • Location: Kolkata, West Bengal, India
  • Interview Date: 4th September, 2024

My name is Avrajeet Ghosh and I’m a student of Electronics and Instrumentation engineering dept from Narula Institute of Technology.

It was an Accenture On-Campus Drive for 2025 pass-out B.Tech candidates.

They offered us 2 Roles -

  1. Associate Software Engineer (ASE)
  2. Advanced Associate Software Engineer (AASE).

They conducted an online Pre-placement talk in the month of July 2024.

Recruitment Process

  1. Cognitive & Technical Assessment
  2. Coding Assessment
  3. Communication Round
  4. Technical + HR Round

Round 1: Cognitive & Technical Assessment

Section 1: Aptitude

This round is the initial round of their recruitment process. The time given for this round was 90 minutes. The difficulty of this round was easy-moderate.

90 questions were given consisting of a total of 6 sections: English Ability, Abstract Reasoning, Critical Reasoning, Pseudo Code (Loops, Operators, Recursions), MS Office & Common Application, and Computer Networking Security & Cloud (Situation-Based Questions).

A moderate level of practice would be enough to clear this round.

After completing the assessment, the results were given whether you proceed or not. The message would be given through WhatsApp and Mail within 5 mins.

Section 2: Coding Assessment

2 coding questions were given. 45 minutes were given to complete this round. The questions were -

  1. Rebound Height
  2. Count the highest decrement of temperature in an array (Sub Array)

After completing the assessment, the results were given whether you proceed or not. The message would be given through WhatsApp and Mail instantly.

Note: Both Cognitive and coding assessments happened on the same day. For me, it was on 26th August 2024. Both the rounds were conducted online but we were instructed to take that from the College campus only. The instructions were given by Accenture officials. A PAN card is mandatory to sit for the Accenture campus drive.

Section 3: Communication Assessment

This segment evaluates communication proficiency utilizing specialized software, encompassing both listening and speaking. To ensure accuracy, please maintain a quiet environment and ensure a robust internet connection and try to attempt this round at midnight. Throughout this phase, your communication skills are assessed through various tasks:

  1. Reading aloud provided texts.
  2. Listening to a narrative and accurately repeating it within a specified timeframe.
  3. Responding to inquiries presented.
  4. Just a Minute

In my experience, while the communication tasks were manageable, the software's sensitivity was remarkably high. Even minimal background noise, such as my breathing, was detected as external sound, creating some challenges in maintaining seamless communication.

After completing this round, you would receive a message through WhatsApp and mail saying that you've completed this round.

Note: A good quality headphone is required to take this round. No Bluetooth headphones are allowed, use a wired headphone with noise cancellation microphone. I would suggest taking the test at midnight because external noises are captured and their software is very sensitive. If they sense minor sounds, you would not be able to take the test.

Before the interviews, you would be getting mail regarding slot booking of your interview. You must select a preferable slot according to your needs and book the slot as soon as possible.

Round 2: Technical + HR Interview

Though it seems to be a Technical + HR round for me it was not purely technical round and my interview was 25 mins on 4th September, 2024.

In the Interview round, questions were -

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. What is your hobby?
  3. Are you pass out graduate or pursuing final year?
  4. Your final year project?
  5. How you implement that system (For me it’s a Hybrid Project)?
  6. What are the technologies you used?
  7. In future what do you want to implement in your project?
  8. Which language you used for your project?
  9. Is it your solo project or group project?
  10. What is your role in your project?
  11. When you feel proudest in your life and why?
  12. Same as when you feel lowest in your life and why?
  13. If you are the team leader and 1 of your team members cannot able to complete his/her task then what should you do?
  14. If your project is not completed within time then what should you do?
  15. If there is a conflict between your team members then how you manage that situation?
  16. If your project is not completed yet but the day is near to submit your project then what should you do?

The interviewer was very satisfied with my statements and confident. Further, she asked me if I had any questions for her. I asked her a few questions related to the training period after onboarding.

After waiting for nearly about 1 month I got the mail of selection for the ASE role on 28th September, 2024 and on the same day, I received a letter of intent.
