Cognizant Interview Experience for Gen-Pro (2025-graduate) On-Campus

Round 1:

  • Status: [2025-graduate Fresher,applied via on-campus hiring].
  • Role:GenC(4LPA),GenC-Pro(5.4LPA),GenC-Next(6.75LPA).
  • Location: [Hyderabad, Telangana, India]
  • Interview Date: [November, 2024]

Overview of Interview Process:

Initial Screening

  • The interview process consists of 5 rounds.They are:Screening,Communication,Aptitude,Technical and interview.
  • while applying if you select No for relocation,technology,then you will not be shortlisted and also please mention your 10th,12th passed year correctly.

Round 1:(Communication round)

  • This is an easy round for my batch it is not an elimination round.

Round 2:(Aptitude round)

  • This round consists of 30 aptitude problems.And also there is also cutoff in this section(Time management is the key)
  • After aptitude round,you will have game based questions like Deductive Challenge,Switch Challenge,Deductive Challenge,Grid Challenge,etc.(The more you play the better score u will get).
  • For this round see OnlineStudy4U channel it is enough.

Round 3:(Technical round)

  • In this round there will be 5 questions-2 sql,2 coding(any langauge) 1 Web UI(Frontend question-HTML,CSS,JS)
  • For GenC role you must solve minimum 3 questions like 2 sql or 1code,2 code or 1 sql.
  • If you solve 3 or 4 questions and you have any technology certification which cognizant considers like Salesforce,CyberSecurity,ServiceNow you will get GenC-Pro role for interview.
  • If you solve 5 questions you will get GenC-Next role for interview.If you selected for this role you will have an additional round-some advanced coding problems.
  • I am from CSE-Cyber Security.I solved 2sql,2 java code 4/5 questions.As i am from a cyber security branch i am selected for Genc-Pro role.

Round 4:(Technical Interview)

  • Duration: [e.g., 30-40 minutes]
  • Method: [Video+In-person]
  • Focus: [Cyber Security related questions]
  • Key Questions: [ we went for cognizant office.
  • The interview will happen on SuperSet.A person will be present infront of you and viedo is recording in the superset.There will be another person.He will join in the superset platform.So you will be interviewed by 2 members One from online,another from infront of you).
  • The interview started with Self-intro.
  • As i selected for cyber-security related role,the interview completely focused on cyber security questions like
  • passive vs active attacks,SQL Injection,HTTP vs HTTPS,Computer networks basic questions and OSI layer(Each layer with applications).
  • Did u perfom any pen test or provided security to an application?If yes how?
  • Steps in Penetration testing,Black hat vs white hat hackers,Black box testing vs white box testing.
  • what is non-repudiation,what is Man-in-the-middle attack?
  • How do you provide security to an application?
  • ]
  • Obstacles: [Its ok to say wrong to 1 or 2 questions but tell confidently].
  • At last they asked Are you ready to relocate?Do u have any questions?

Additional Information:

  • I applied on auguest Interview happned on November 29th,Received result on Jan 1st.
  • There will be more time between each round so prepare well.
  • If you interviewed for GenC-next and if you had not done well,you may get GenC or nothing.
  • If you interviewed for GenC-pro and had not well,you are rejected.
  • Those who got genC they get internship within 1 month for my batch.(stipend 12k).

Closing Note:

  • After interview completed,you will recieve mail from superset as "Interviews Completed".
    If you recieve this mail with Cognizant logo you are selected(this is loophole).
  • if you didnt receive logo,then you are rejected.
