Synergech Interview Experience | On-Campus Placement

I recently attended an on-campus placement drive conducted by Synergech at my college.

  • Role: Software Developer
  • Salary: 4 LPA
  • Location: Olympia Tech Park, Chennai
  • Interview Dates: 06 Dec 2025 & 30 Jan 2026

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 80% in 10th, 12th, and CGPA

Interview Process

The selection process consisted of 4 rounds:

Round 1: Technical Screening (Google Meet)

  • Around 25 students participated
  • Interviewers shared Java code snippets

Task:

  • Raise hand
  • Explain output

Selection Criteria:

  • Students answering 2 or more questions correctly moved ahead

Sample Topics:

  • String manipulation
  • Loop-based logic
  • Nested loops with break
  • Character transformation
  • While loop with continue and break

Result: Around 8 students were eliminated

Round 2: Code Explanation Round

  • Based on Round 1 performance
  • Asked to explain previously solved code in detail

Result:

  • 7 students selected
  • I cleared this round

Key Insight: Focus was on clarity of understanding

Round 3: Coding Hackathon (Main Round)

  • Conducted at Synergech Office, Chennai
  • Duration: 3 hours

Pre-round Training (5 days):

  • Java fundamentals
  • Value Object concepts

Problem Structure:

  • Level 0: 1 problem
  • Level 1: 2 problems (solve any one)
  • Level 2: 1 problem
  • Level 3: 2 problems

Topics Covered:

  • Math and pattern problems
  • String manipulation
  • Value Object-based problems

Sample Problems:

  • License eligibility check
  • Email validation
  • Java Value Object design

My Performance:

  • Solved 3 problems completely and partially solved one
  • Faced difficulty in Value Object concepts

Result:

  • Rejected in this round
  • More than 50 students participated from multiple colleges

Round 4: HR Interview

  • Self-introduction
  • Projects
  • Logical questions

Key Takeaways

  • Strong Java fundamentals are essential

Final Thoughts

Although I was rejected in Round 3, the experience provided clear direction for improvement. The process was well-structured and offered a valuable learning opportunity.
